Best Restaurants to Try in Miami and South Beach

Hi Dolls,

If you follow me and my blog, then you know I love traveling to Miami – especially South Beach! I was just looking through my saved pictures from Snapchat and realized “wow I eat a lot at some really good places” – this is FGGW of course – so I should write a post for people who are not as familiar with the area about the restaurants they MUST try when visiting Miami, FL and the South Beach area.

Hottest Restaurants in Miami Beach:

Prime One Twelve

Prime 112 is a classic, upscale and happening steakhouse in Miami Beach. If you are looking to see some celebrities, this could be a great place to hang out at. I’ve seen a few celebrities while dining here and even saw Future get into a Rolls Royce Rafe leaving! This popping restaurant is mentioned in many current rap songs and was mentioned on the show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” as one of their favorites spots to dine at in Miami. Prime 112 offers many classic dishes but with a twist – always using the most fine and fresh ingredients. Some of my favorites that I would recommend are the Crispy White Truffle Fries, Truffled Lobster Mac N Cheese, and of course the Filet Mignon.

Prime Italian

Prime Italian is a modern and trendy spot famous for its fantastic Italian dishes, great steaks and sophisticated ambiance. This restaurant is one you must try and will not regret when visiting Miami! It has the same amazing quality of food but offers less traditional twists on things – the Chicken Parm Sliders are a great example! Prime Italian is owned by the same owners of Prime 112 and is located across the street from the restaurant, so if you check out Prime 112 and the line is too long, feel free to walk across the street and check Prime Italian out 🙂

Mr. Chow

Mr. Chow is a classic Chinese restaurant located in the W South Beach Hotel. Located directly at the beach, the restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining. The fantastic service and elegant atmosphere you will experience while dining here will blow you away. If you’re a fan of Chinese food, this is a must-try restaurant when you are visiting Miami! Some classic items I recommend to order are the Vegetable Fried Rice and Chicken Satay.

Gianni’s at the Versace Mansion

Going to eat at the Versace Mansion is one of my highlights of all time from being in Miami! Gianni’s is located at the actual Versace Mansion where Gianni Versace formally lived – this is extra cool if you have recently watched “The Assassination of Gianni Versace” – because this is where the series was filmed. The scenery of this gorgeous and iconic spot in Miami is breath-taking to say the least. When you arrive, you will immediately recognize the pattern of the gates. Truly iconic and something worth taking the time to see. You can either dine inside or wait to be seated outdoors by the gold-lined pool. I highly recommend waiting to be seated outside – the views are beyond worth it. And while waiting you can grab a bar inside the luxurious foyer area and take a picture in front of the beautiful indoor fountain. The food is an upscale blend of Mediterranean Italian, but there’s something for everyone on the menu. One thing to note: make sure to make a reservation a week ahead of time!

Scarpetta is located inside of the Fontainebleau hotel in South Beach off Ocean Drive. I normally always stay at Fontainebleau when visiting Miami and my favorite part is the AMAZING restaurants inside the hotel! With all the great restaurants and the fact that Club Liv is located within the hotel, I have to make an effort sometimes to actually leave the resort. Scarpetta is fantastic and a must-try if you are looking to have a fine-dining experience. It is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a dinner to celebrate an occasion. My favorite dish is just the plain spaghetti! It is so simple but so divine – I highly recommend trying it.

Vida is a modern American classic restaurant also located within Fontainebleau. I am obsessed with Vida because it’s impossible for you to not love at least one thing on the menu! Great place to go with a picky crowd. Vida has a casual but still luxurious vibe with great views of the trees and pathway that lead out to the main pool at the hotel. The quality of the food, drinks and especially the level of service you are treated with here is beyond.

Nobu has always been on my bucket list and this year I went there for my birthday and I am so happy that I did! Nobu delivers upscale sushi and Japanese inspired food. If you’re not a sushi-lover, I promise Nobu still has something on their menu you will love. Nobu Miami is located inside of the Nobu Hotel – this threw me off at first – but just ask someone at the front desk where the restaurant is located when you walk in and someone will be more than happy to show you. I got a sushi roll, sashimi, and the best sake I have ever had during my visit to Nobu Miami. Nobu is a very trendy spot and you definitely feel important and special while dining here.

Miami Vibes

Hi Babes,

A fun fact about me is that my favorite spot to travel is to Miami! I wish I could live there lol… one day.

I just got back from a short trip to MIA for Halloween and wanted to share some of the highlights of my trip 😍 – including some of my favorite spots and looks! I also met my favorite rapper of all time – Gucci Mane!

My Favorite Poolside Spot

Fontainebleau! This is where I stay every time and every penny is worth it. My heaven on earth is tanning poolside at Fountainbleau (probably with a mojito in hand). Here are some of my favorite pool looks from my trip:

My Favorite Dinner Spots

The restaurants in Miami are amazing! Some of my favorites are: Scarpetta and Vita – both inside Fontainebleau – Prime 112, STK, and Makoto. Here’s my favorite dinner outfit from my trip:

My Favorite Night Spots:

Clubbing on Sunday is perfect for Liv. They refer to it as “church” that night because that’s when all the rappers go, lol. I went on Sunday for Yo Gotti and Birdman was there too! It was a great night, as you can see from the pic pbelow 😂:

Some of my other favorite club spots are Story and Heart. Halloween was on a Tuesday, so I went to E11ven – it was my first time and it was SO FUN. Borgore performed and it was just something else. The club is open 24 hours and there was a “freak show” complete with fire breathers and all! I was a Mermaid for Halloween this year – I made the costume myself!

The Highlight of My Trip

The highlight of my trip was definitely having GUCCI MANE be on my flight back to Detroit. I got the chance to tell my favorite artist of all time that the Burr Print 3D is my favorite album. My life honestly feels complete. I didn’t want to blow his cover but I did sneak a few pics:

That’s all! Hope everyone has a great weekend 🙂
