All Natural — My New Beauty Routine

No Makeup!

I have definitely gone through just about every phase and tried every trend in the beauty game over the last few years. I have spent my fair share of hours watching Jessie James Decker makeup tutorial’s and learning how to contour on youtube, but I am now in a completely different phase when it comes to my beauty rituals.

I would honestly  say that I spend about 90% of my time “prepping” when getting ready and then 10% actually putting on makeup. Right now, I’m all about taking the best care of my skin and looking natural, young, and pure. Here are the three most important steps I take to be able to maintain a fresh look, without wearing much makeup:

1. Moisturizing is Key —

This applies to your body and your face! When I get out of the shower, I need to moisturizer immediately. I use your basic Vaseline moisturizer that you can find at any drug or convince store: Click Here to online purchase the one I use for under $4.

I cannot emphasize enough how important shaving and moisturizing is to my beauty routine! I know it can seem like a lot of work, but trust me, it’s the best feeling when you get complimented on how soft your skin is.

2. St. Tropez —

For me personally, I feel so much more confident when I have some color and feel like I’m not pale! That could be because I’m blonde and have a fair skin tone to begin with, but regardless, giving your skin a fresh and bronze glow from a natural self-tanner like St. Tropez will make a world of difference. I cannot say enough good things about St.Tropez. I honestly am going to write a letter to the company saying thank you and that they will legit be what saves me from skin cancer lol. I used to go in tanning beds to feel confident or have some tan in the winter, but St. Tropez literally gives you the same, if not better color than a tanning bed or laying out in the sun would give you, for a very reasonable price and easy application.

I buy my St. Tropez at Sephora. If you don’t have a store near you, you can order it online by Clicking Here and choosing between a smaller size for $19 or the larger bottle for $44. Make sure you purchase a mitt to apply it: Applicator Mitt. The mitt is $6.50. A bottle for  $19 and the purchase of the mitt is enough to maintain a great-looking tan for at least a few weeks. That is cheaper than the price I would pay for a monthly tanning package, and an additional bonus is you don’t have to feel bad or worry about the damages you are doing to your skin. St. Tropez is so easy to apply, I honestly don’t even need to explain how to do it! If you purchase it, read the directions on the back and watch a youtube tutorial your first time just to be sure, and you will have no problems 🙂

3. Lip Gloss or Chapstick Literally at All Times —

I’m constantly applying chapstick and lipgloss throughout my day! I remember a friend said to me in middle school —  “Beth, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you without lipgloss on” —   and to this day, I still think that’s true lol. I really don’t wear lipstick much or mess with lip liners and all the fancy stuff, but I am a firm believer in making a basic clear or pink lipgloss your best friend.

I think that I half love wearing lipgloss and chapstick 24/7 because it adds a pop to a natural look when you are not wearing very much makeup, and half because it’s just funny to sit in public places — like class — and apply lipgloss for honestly like twenty minutes straight. It’s one of the most classic #FGGW moves to do and I love it.

These three steps are really the most important in my beauty routine today! Following good hygiene and shaving & moisturizing frequently, maintaining a healthy and bronze glow to my skin with the help of St. Tropez, and always having a chapstick or lipgloss on my lips, are crucial to me feeling and looking good without wearing heavy makeup 🙂

XoXo,

Beth
